Next war starts in 4 days! Our strategy definitely worked, I would say! We definitely won against clans we should be grouped against and there was nothing we could do to combat a clan that could field 12-18 members a night. Thinking about it now it wasn't just the amount of activity and clan size that was skewed, it was also the fact that a clan their size should have had larger nodes to take. They should have been in a war where nodes took 100+ wins to cap, not 30-80! But enough about the last war, let's move on! The only thing to really discuss for the upcoming war is the new double node now that we have experienced it. I went for this node first during the last war and we lost it right at the end (from gtgk, I believe?). It worked out well because we ended up having enough wins there on both nodes for me and Jollins to take them both just the two of us the next night. This node was also in contention the entire time. It seems like they are picking popular game modes for the double node. TDM last time, Dom the time before. Should our strategy be to continue to try and take both nodes first as a 2 for 1 deal? Should we let the other clans focus on that and take the small nodes first (usually blitz, cranked, etc. fast games)? Or should we focus that first nodes attention on something we are going to probably be able to easily hold, say HC Dom?

Personally I suggest going for the two smallest, fastest nodes first to cap those at maximum point value and hold them for as long as possible. If it is cranked and blitz again and I have a full team or greater at the start I think we could take both those nodes in 2 - 3 hours and if everyone is still committed probably take a HC node or two as well depending on activity. Too much chance to lose the double node and to have it taken much faster than other nodes. What do you guys think?

I think if the double node is TDM again, then we stay away. It's just such a popular format that it will be a mad dash for it, but in the time it takes other clans to cap, we could be starting on our third node.

If it's DOM then it's an even more stay away, just because that takes so long to play, we could have nearly capped 3 others by then.

The last two wars we've fallen behind from the start, I think we should go for points on the board early this time, be very aggressive at the start when all nodes are open, in order of which we feel will be the quickest to cap, then implement the 'hold some nodes and attack other nodes once the other clans have opened them' plan.

Yeah, definitely want to come out swinging. Only thing that sucks is they never tell you what nodes are what until after the war starts and it usually takes me fifteen minutes to get into the damn app cause everyone is trying to access it at once! I'd hate to hit cranked hard and then find out 15 minutes later it isn't even one of the nodes!

woooo i got a mention!! haha but on a serious note i think this is definitely a key issue but unfortunately as you say we won't know what the double node is until after the start so it may be best to get a contingency plan set up incase things go a little different at the beginning to how we planned.

Hell, there may not be a double node next time, there may be more than one, they may completely redo how you score. They never tell us the info on this potato and changes to scoring until the war starts, at which point who has time for that potato!

what I've noticed is the more popular games- tdm, kc blitz and cranked have such low cp, is it not worth going for the hc games and s&d, s&r which have a much higher value and don't need as many games to cap?

They end up with low cp later on but at start they are all roughly the same. As the war goes on they tend to decrease because every time it gets capped the value goes down by two and only increases at certain intervals

is the double node thing causing the cp to stay so low because they always seemed to be constantly been capped by different teams?

Yeah is why the small tdm node was always worth like 3 points. Also remember that we get a point every hour we hold a node
